Following James Demon's EP ‘Cult of Cthulhu’, we present a 4-track reinterpretation release from Parisian DJ Maxime Iko, Chicago producer Hiroko Yamamura, American artist Max Gardner and TrashEra co-founder Deepneue.

Original track “Hex Her” sees two remixes: the first one under the hand of Maxime Iko, called the Hex Haters Remix, with it he plays with bass sounds and pulsations, giving us a militant and somewhat harder version of the source material. Groovy lines and steady hi-hats underline punishing kicks and snares while throbbing sounds are added.

The second remix comes from Hiroko Yamamura, who follows a subtler path made of deep sounds and lysergic atmospheres in an obsessive episode. Well-placed synth sounds enrich the marching nature of the track, ready to delight late-night dance floors.

Next Max Gardner takes “Esther” and remakes it in the form of an underwater experience in which the sounds reveal themselves during crawling movements. If the original had an almost minimal structure based on rhythms, here a sort of alien ambiance dominates the sonic spectrum.

Finally Deepneue ends the voyage with their view of “My Madness”, rendered as a techno/house affair with tribal elements and even sparse broken beats. A syncopated nature pervades the track, conceiving an atavistic and frenzied dance for post-urban listeners engaging in a hypnotizing ritual.
